A stimulating sequel to awards-winning author-scriptwriter Chu Tien-Wen’s literary documentary UNFULFILLED DREAMS (2020) which documented the lives of Chu’s parents. In I REMEMBER, the camera is turned to the sisters to explore their literary journeys since high school and how they established their literary publication San-san Jikan (in English: Double Three Journal). 

Chu Tien-Wen is a long-time collaborator with Taiwanese auteur Hou Hsiao-Hsien; her screenwriting projects include GROWING UP (1983), TAIPEI STORY (1985), DUST IN THE WIND (1986), and MILLENNIUM MAMBO (2001). The younger sister Chu Tien-Hsin is an inspiring award-winning author, whose work SONGS OF RUSTIC PLEASURES is a manifesto of freedom and has been a must-read for youths through decades. Her works often reflect her passion for social activism and issues of ethnic identity. Through this documentary, audendices gain access to their intimate creative process and how their life journey and beliefs are echoed in their writing style. 

《他們在島嶼寫作》文學大師紀錄片系列又一力作，延續《願未央》，從故國舊時的思念，過渡到當代台灣，紀錄當代台灣重要作家朱天文、朱天心姐妹的創作和生活。電影由同樣出身文壇的導演林俊頴掌鏡，由朱天文編劇時期長期合作的侯孝賢導演擔任監製。

攝影機走進朱家姊妹的日常散步街景。回顧「三三」文學集團的成立，依次討論朱家姐妹的經典創作，從《擊壤歌》到《古都》，從《小畢的故事》到《荒人手記》，看他們的生活思維和文字，不管是襲捲校園或登上銀幕，如何以獨樹一格的執拗與驕傲，回應台灣文學界與社會的脈動。
