In Conversation with Dr. Paelabang Danapan
「用筆來唱歌 — 文學作為一種民族防禦」
孫大川 (巴厄拉邦·德納班)澳洲巡迴講座

Join us for a conversation with Dr. Paelabang Danapan, to explore the rich history of Taiwanese Indigenous Peoples. The discussion will examine the significance of both written and spoken Indigenous languages, examining how these forms of expression have shaped and preserved their stories, traditions, and identities. By analysing the role of language in literature, Dr. Paelabang will emphasise the power of Indigenous narratives in both oral and written forms, shedding light on their contributions to Taiwan’s cultural landscape and the broader world of literature.
This event goes beyond promoting literature—it’s a celebration of cultural diversity. It emphasises the importance of diverse cultural representations in literature, reflecting the richness and variety of Taiwanese society. By spotlighting Taiwanese Indigenous literature, the event aims to open up new worlds and perspectives for Australian audiences to explore.
