Securing seven Golden Horse nominations, this searing psychological drama features powerhouse performances from Taiwanese screen icons Joseph CHANG, Ariel LIN, and KING Shih-chieh. Delivering a haunting portrait of the ghosts that linger within the domestic sphere.
The film follows a married couple, Ming and Yi-ting, whose seemingly tender bond is shattered by the news of a pregnancy. Instead of bringing joy, the impending motherhood unearths buried childhood traumas in Yi-ting, unlocking memories of systematic abuse inflicted by her family's patriarch. When Yi-ting's sudden suicide leaves Ming adrift in a labyrinth of agonizing silence, he is forced to piece together the hidden scars of a toxic family system where cycles of abuse have been quietly replicated across generations.
Utilizing deliberate pacing and unsettling, immersive ambient soundscapes, Shen masterfully transforms "silence" into a suffocating instrument of suppression, offering a claustrophobic look at the invisible walls built around victims of trauma.

改編自台灣作家林秀赫同名小說的《深度安靜》，是金馬紀錄片導演沈可尚首度執導的劇情長片。影片延續其長年關注的田野與人性紀錄視角，將寫實觀察與心理深層探索結合為極具壓迫感的影像語言，並集結張孝全、林依晨與金士傑等實力派陣容，共同構築一段圍繞家庭創傷與情感崩解的高張力敘事。
故事圍繞諭明與依庭這對夫妻展開。兩人原本在極度安靜的相處中孕育出微妙愛意，然而懷孕後的依庭，卻逐漸被深埋的童年創傷與家庭陰影所吞噬。隨著依庭最終走向自我終結，丈夫諭明被迫在無法介入的無力感中，逐步拼湊出妻子長年隱藏的傷痕，直面原生家庭系統中，創傷如何在沉默中延續與擴散。
本片以極為克制冷靜的敘事，直面家庭暴力與童年創傷所造成的長期心理裂縫。導演以「沉默」作為核心意象，呈現受害者在社會期待與自我修復之間的拉扯。《深度安靜》在壓抑與破碎之中，勾勒出當代華語電影少見的心理倫理層次，是一部既殘酷又誠實、關於沉默與生存的重量級作品。本片一舉入圍金馬獎七項大獎，並於第 9 屆平遙國際電影展奪得「費穆榮譽」最佳影片與最佳男演員獎。
