Together, they anchor a mesmerizing cinematic experience that stands as one of the year's most electrifying discoveries.
Set in Latas Indonesia, a remote rural village defined by its ancient "trance parties"—vibrant spiritual rituals where residents inhabit powerful animal spirits through ecstatic music and dance. Eager to prove himself, young amateur shaman Bayu (Angga YUNANDA) enters a fierce tournament to induce the most potent trance states and claim the title of Head Shaman, defying the fierce opposition of his traditional father. However, this delicate spiritual ecosystem is thrown into chaos when a luxury hotel conglomerate targets the town’s sacred spring. To protect his village from invasive property developers, Bayu is thrust into a sprawling David-and-Goliath battle, forcing him to navigate intense familial pressure and confront his own buried childhood grief to invoke the ultimate ancestral spirit.
Seamlessly blending mythological folklore with raw realism, Bhanuteja masterfully examines the devastating clash between ancestral faith and capitalistic expansion. Driven by a rip-roaring, hypnotic soundtrack that turns the cinematic space itself into an intoxicating ritual, Levitating is an ambitious, genre-bending eco-thriller that will leave viewers dancing out of the cinema.
印尼超自然劇情片《Levitating》，入選2026年日舞影展世界劇情片競賽單元。影片由印尼鬼才導演雷加斯．布凡奴帝查（Wregas BHANUTEJA）執導，破天荒集結全球知名的法裔印尼籍天后級歌手安谷（Anggun），與新星安加．雲安達 (Angga YUNANDA)攜手獻出爆發力十足的演技，共同打造這部兼具魔幻感官衝擊與深刻社會反思的年度驚艷之作。
故事發生在印尼郊區小鎮拉塔斯，當地居民透過傳統「附身派對」的集體舞蹈讓靈體附身，以此宣洩生活壓力與創傷。然而，這座小鎮正面臨神聖泉水被開發為豪華飯店的威脅。主角巴尤是一名年輕的業餘薩滿，他渴望成為精神引導者，並試圖籌措資金保護泉水。在理想背後，他同時面臨父親執意出售祖宅的壓力，以及童年時期的家庭創傷，使他的內在世界逐漸動搖。
