Structured around four interwoven couples, each carrying emotional scars that make them hide from or flee the ones they love, the film delicately explores the quiet battles that define modern intimacy. From rejection and betrayal to the weight of family expectations, the path to acceptance is never easy. But to truly love someone, each must first confront their own fears and vulnerabilities.

故事橫跨冬季與春季，從美國西雅圖到馬來西亞吉隆坡，以四段交錯的人生線索，描繪愛情、家庭、成長與失落。在一場混亂的共乘途中，一位即將臨盆的孕婦、一名沉穩的護理師與一位剛回到故鄉的律師意外相遇，命運巧妙地將他們串連起來。另一端，曾有過婚約的導演與女星，多年後在電影拍攝現場重逢，過往情感再次湧現。還有高中戀人、單親家庭、亞裔長輩與年輕世代間的價值衝突，也在輕快與溫柔的敘事節奏中逐一展開。
