Winner of three Golden Horse Awards, this gripping drama features a masterclass from CHANG Chen (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon). His profoundly nuanced performance exposes the raw, authentic struggle of the immigrant experience and the true cost of pursuing the "American Dream" in New York.

Set against the backdrop of pandemic-era New York, the film follows Lu, a Chinese delivery rider working tirelessly to prepare for the arrival of his wife and daughter from Taiwan. On the eve of their reunion, a stolen e-bike and a sudden housing scam plunge his fragile life into crisis. To maintain his dignity as a husband and father, Lu must navigate immense survival pressure in an unforgiving city.

Utilizing restrained realism, director CHOI highlights the struggles of marginalized essential workers while examining the tension between family duty and the migrant hustle. Lucky Lu—adapted from CHOI’s Cannes-nominated short Same Old (2022) and serving as a modern interpretation of Vittorio De Sica's neorealist classic Bicycle Thieves (1948)—is a deeply moving portrait of resilience, displacement, and quiet dignity in a chaotic world.

故事聚焦旅居紐約的外送員盧，他日夜奔波，只為迎接即將從台灣來美團聚的妻女。然而在重逢前夕，賴以維生的電動車意外遭竊，接踵而來的租屋詐騙更將他推向崩潰邊緣。面對巨大的生存壓力，他被迫在尊嚴與現實間做出艱難抉擇。

導演勞埃德．李．崔曾以短片榮獲柏林影展水晶熊獎，長年關注移民與都市邊緣群體。而男主角張震以極內斂細繹的演出，呈現移民父親無聲承受重擔的孤獨身影，描繪出底層勞動者的生存困境，探討家庭責任與夢想的拉扯，具備高度普世性的情感力量。
