Documentary filmmaker A-Liang has been absent with his family for more than 20 years. The previously estranged family, where love and grudges always intertwine and interchangeably surface, slowly comes closer together through A-Liang’s lens. It is an intimate journey of homecoming, a portrait of rekindled family bonding despite differences in religious beliefs, and an unflinching tale of self-discovery through filmmaking. 

Set in a rural area of southwestern Taiwan, A-Liang's family holds deep faith in their religious beliefs. A-Zhi, the brother, is recognised as a psychic in the village, while the father, a gambling addict, believes that the gods will reveal the lucky lottery numbers to him. The mother perseveres in performing religious rituals despite enduring hardships. 

一名離家多年「北漂」的電影導演，如何透過紀錄片還原、縫合因生活的磨難而傷痕累累的原生家庭？在盧盈良真實的攝影機下，沒有一滴眼淚是人工的。而面對凡事求神問卜的迷信家人，又該如何活出人生？「人」與「神」之間的衝突該怎麼化解？

多年不再聯絡打擾，一通電話接起，卻讓他決定回到那個迷信、偏執、令人疲憊的老家。南部的大水曾經沖走生活的希望，這次能把不愉快的回憶一併沖掉嗎？
